![]() Zakk Wylde and Ozzy Osbourne Recall the Audition, Rehearsals and Sessions Leading to 1988's 'No Rest for the Wicked' | Guitar World We ran a line out to a Marshall 4x12 cab, I threw in my Boss SD-1 and double-tracked everything. At Goodnight L.A., he recalls, “I was talking to Keith about what I wanted from my tone, and I played him TNT’s ‘10,000 Lovers (In One).’ I was like, ‘Listen to Ronni Le Tekro’s ****ing guitar!’ I had the Grail, and Keith said to me, ‘All right, Zakk, plug into this.’ And it was a JCM 800 combo amp-the same one John Sykes used on the Whitesnake record. At Enterprise Studios, Wylde, who had tracked his parts using Lee Jackson Metaltronix amps, had been frustrated with his overall sound. Also, the SD-1 has been a mainstay of his rig along w/the 2203 since those NRFTW recordings. Given those are Lee Jackson images, are those photos from NRFTW? Might be why you see only cabs and no heads. ![]() The JCM800 combo into a 4x12 + SD-1 is fairly well documented for the No Rest for the Wicked recordings.
